make your washi tape from you mixed media works!!!

Often, when I'm doing mixed media artworks to offer or sell I like to have a squareness in my work. To make the frame I use masking tape with the width I want and lap gently on the paper.
I do my art, paint, stamp, stencil, dooodle, and I care to advance to the masking tape, so that there is a continuity of the work for the tape.
At the end, after all and when everything is dry, I take off, carefully the masking tape and keep it in plastic sheets. I get a set of very original tape. I really like them. I have used them in my journal or planner art!

Pocket Art Card - my process

Hi guys! Today I want to share with you a quickly step by step of my PAC and Dare 2B of my last week from my UnPlanner.
I'm loving to do this tiny pockets art cards, because is a little space were you can make some art without spending to much time on it!

When I'm painting I sometimes have on my table a sheet of kitchen vegetable paper (like your deli paper), where I  will  put scraps of paint, clean my brushes and sometimes I doodle on it.
So I grabbed on one of this papers and used one flower that I had drawn there.

In both cards I gave some strokes of blue! The challenge was to make shades of one color. So, I used the same colors on both cards and used acrylic in shades of blue!
I collage some papers and then and some strokes of white paint.

I cut my flower in half's and collage on the both cards.
I added the last notes with some  words and dots.

I made a paper ribbon and stitched on my PAC.

Create beautiful masking tape feathers

Hey, Creative friend!
heArt makes has a new home!!!
Just check my new site for more inspiration!!
 Click here.

I love feathers! Love to collect them, love to draw them and create feathers from paper or masking tape was one of my recent discovers! They are lovely to incorporate on your artjournals or in sckrapbooking pages. They make a beautiful embellishment!
Today I want to share with you some feathers made from masking tape from hardware stores! :)

Put adhesive tape on the plastic. Give some strokes with watercolors or acrylic paint. After it dry, in the middle put a thin wire. Fold the tape in half. Cut the shape of the feather.
Draw with a pen and make some cuts to resemble a feather. As it has wire you can make the shape of the feather make it more real and dimensional!!

Take a Look at another happy project with masking Tape!

The Documented Life Porject- The UnPlanner February Week 2

End of February week 2. This week I use shades of one color: Blue!! Made my PAC, my Dare 2B list and a Tag with the month quote: Love without hesitation!
I used plastic sheet protectors for my pockets to put my PAC and my Dare2b list.
Made some paper ribbon to embellish my PAC and Dare 2B list and used a beautiful mandala that I had draw for a long time ago on a sheet of deli paper (paper like your deli paper!).

#30 days of pattern studies on a post it

I love patterns! And for a long time I wanted to make some studies about patterns. Make some studs colors fusion, line, pattern. Time to time I pick up a paper and ad some colors, make some doodles! But nothing consistently! In January I thought that would be great to make a challenge to me and start a daily study of patterns! But to be a daily challenge, and with the busy day that i have could not be possible to make this on a big sheet of paper. So i look at the post its that I had on my art table and thought that's it! I'm gonna make it on a post it!!!!
So, on first of February I post my first pattern on a post it on instagram and challenged every one that would like this project and have fun with it, to join me.
The creative and amazing artist Virginia Fitzgerald join me in this fun project and since then both of us daily create a pattern on a post it and post it on Instagram! :)

Its a very fun project and easy to accomplish, beacause, postits you have always near you and in a such little piece of paper you rapidly create a pattern. I first started with micron black pens and kids color markers, but then I started to use watercolors. Virginia is having fun rediscovering gouache. So if we thought that on a post it we only could make a note, that is totally wrong! :)

I challenge you to join us. You will have for sure to much fun with this!!! :) And I have some more ideas for the next project with patterns!!! I'm so excited with that!!!
So be be aware!!!

If you join us post your patterns with the #30daysofpatternstudies and #heartmakespostit, so every patterns will be in the same palace and we all can see the creations of each others!

You can see more of my pattern studies and others creations on my Instagram page.

You can follow Virginia and see her patterns here on her Instagram page
