Hi guys!!

I'm very happy because this week I was the guest for creating the prompt for Life Documented.
Since the theme of the month is bloom and as I love to draw mandalas I dicides to suggest to play with mandalas this week.
Prompt: doodle and use bloom Mandalas
Technique:  play with washes and drips of watercolors
Quote: "If we remain afraid and closed off we never know what it feels like to bloom" by Lori Schaefer

All the tutorials for the week were publish on Saturday on the Life Documented blog. But for those of you that aren't in Life Documented I would love to share with you too. I loved to do this spread.

Today I will share my art journal page with a cascade of mandalas, and tomorrow I will share little art cards.

This is my interpretation for this week prompt and techniques. Hope you enjoy.

Well, what i made first was to play with washes of watercolor and draw the mandalas. This is the center of my work this week, and I  used the mandalas that I draw in the three pieces that I  created

1. In sheets of a chemistry book I add washes  and drips of watercolor

2. I draw/doodle mandalas
This is only an example of my process to do my mandalas. I like imperfections, so i don't use a compass most of the time, I just draw. Do several of them, play and have fun. I only use a micron pen to draw.

3. Cut all the mandalas and cut them in half's

For my journal page I saved two half's of mandalas for the card and the tag and use all the rest for this page.

1. I add swipes of color to my page
2. I collage the mandalas, like a bouquet
3. I doodle some feathers

4. I add some black paint to add contrast

5. Then with acrylic paint I add more contrast color to the mandalas.

6. In the end I add lots of marks.

The Documented Life Project - The UnPlanner: #Week4

Time flyes!!! Here we are in week 4 of  "The Documented Life Project" and in the end of January!!!! These are my pages for this week!!

This week I was experimenting new things! colors, techniques and continuing training my sketching skills!!

I was totally inspired on Alisa Burke announce of her next lesson "paint with your fingers", and this week I tried that!! Painted some backgrounds and then doodled .
I gathered all that papers, and most favorite photos and played with my UnPlanner!!! :) This is pure fun!!!

My PAC was made with the leftover parts from the other pages! I continuing to explore my skills and experimenting with the materials!!! Liked so much the result!

With my doodled flowers on a finger painted background I made a pocket for a favorite photo! A weird selfie of me and my hubby! !It's weird but I like her!!
Stitched my finger painted mandala!

This week I was still training my sketching skills! So my recipe for this week was to make a sketch from one of my lunches these days!!!
In this page I use a plastic paper protector that I cut and stitch! (another experience and something new to try!! :) )

In the last page I had a beautiful draw that my boy made with oil paint!! I absolutely love this and I had to record that moment!!!

ART Card - my process!

Today I want to share with you a little bit of my process on the making of a little Art Card from my Planner. This little art cards are, as the name suggests, little bits of art that you can add as embellishments to your art journals, planners or offer as a gift tag for instance.
As they are little pieces you can make them in few minutes. They are great for you to make art every day even if you don't have much time for that.

I started with a page where I add some scrap paint from cleaning the brushes from other projects!!

Add some strips of magazines and newspaper.

Add some stokes of white and doodled a flower! I stamped some flowers in the corner and added some collages with leftover papers! (I collect almost  every bits of paper that left from other projects! They fit great in this little pieces of art don't you think? :))The important is to create texture and beautiful fused layers!!!

You can write some words, or quotes that inspires you.
For the final touches I add some stitches which i love and a little strip of ribbon.

Hope you feel inspired to create. Is a little art card. You can make it in 10 min!! This is an artful therapy!!

Have fun!! Be inspired!!

Blog Planner

Organization is fundamental in order to achieve the goals I want.Ttime is not enough for everything and waste it thinking about what you have to do or should do and not do, is a waste of time !!! ;)
Then organization is key. And speaks to you the person who battle every day with its interior to achieve this organization for not procrastinate!

This year 2016 I want my work take a leap and I want my blog has more activity. I decided to make a Blog planner. A notebook where I will plan the month with threads I want to do, where to record ideas of projects. As my head always walks a thousand with ideas I have to register them, because I can not do everything at once.

I leave you my suggestion of an altered notebook, very simple to do, and super cheap.

I used a notebook with black covers, very cheap, with white sheets. On the cover I used a doillie to make a flower. Simple but beautiful.

Eu usei um caderno de capas pretas, muit barato, com folhas brancas. Na capa eu usei um doillie para fazer uma flor. Simples mas bonito.

For tabs made some marks on white sheets, to create a standard and pasted in the notebook.

Para os separadores fiz marcas algumas em folhas brancas, para criar um padrão e colei no caderno.

I made some simple tabs. With a paper punch cut some circles. Fold in half and glu it. Glue two of this only by half. Put in the separator sheet.

Fiz uns separadores simples. Com um furador corte circulos. Dobre ao meio. Cole. Cole dois só pela metade.Encaixe na folha separadora.
